Equipotential bonding in computer centres

Reduce potential differences, avoid spark formation with OBO solutions

Besides a functioning earthing system, reliable equipotential bonding also forms the basis for the safe operation of the electrical systems in a data centre. For example, it is important to avoid spread of electronic potential here. Such spreading occurs, for example, when the equipotential bonding is combined at multiple points. This forms grids and compensation currents flow. These can be avoided, or at least reduced, through reliable equipotential bonding.

OBO offers a broad spectrum of equipotential busbars, into which decades of experience from countless projects have flowed. The following is particularly suitable for equipotential bonding in data centres:

  • VDE-tested equipotential busbar for interior areas: It is suitable for both equipotential bonding according to DIN VDE 0100-410/540 and for lightning protection equipotential bonding according to DIN VDE 0185-305. With contact-secure series steel terminals and tension clamps with screw locking to prevent self-loosening, it can be relied upon, even in challenging installation environments.
